Fall: From September 20th to November 28th, 2023, the project's primary focus was on project design, encompassing Proposal/Report Writing, Analysis, and Documentation, as detailed in the Gantt chart provided in Appendix E. Most of the tasks falling within these categories adhered to their planned schedules. All analyses were submitted on time throughout this period. Proposal/Report Writing progressed as scheduled, albeit with variations in the time required for different sections. On the other hand, documentation proceeded at an accelerated pace, largely attributed to the numerous drawings generated during the analysis phase, which facilitated streamlined design decisions. All three sections were completed on time, well before the deadline of December 7th, 2023.
Winter: From January 3rd to February 28th, 2024, the project focuses on constructing an aluminum prototype for the Sustainable Phone Housing. In tandem, a 3d printed prototype has been constructed to allow for preliminary testing which includes fit/function, and submersion in water for 30 minutes.
Spring: All data and prototypes should be compiled and completed. Presentation of work should be done before the end of the Spring 2024 quarter.
The founders of this project, Kevin Lomax, and David Rocha, attended VentureWell in the Summer of 2023 and received a $ 5,000 grant. Of which, $1,300 of the grant has been deliciated for the design and prototyping of the project.
